2019 Distinguished Service Award: Norland Pure

Norland Pure is a division of Norland International, based right here in Lincoln. They are a world-class leader in producing state-of-the-art equipment for the bottled water and beverage industries. They currently employ over 125 dedicated employees with roots based in Lincoln but servicing companies around the world, starting or expanding their own bottled water operations. Norland Pure utilizes a patented five-step process that includes steam distillation to offer customers both traditional distilled water or electrolyte enhanced premium drinking water.Norland Pure has been supporting the Track Club since 2015—with their first race being the State Farm Run—however, the partnership stems all the way back to 1996 when Troy first started working LTC events with Planet Earth. He recalls his first event being the Sandoz Run, and since that first race, the partnership has grown stronger and bigger than ever. You can find either Troy or Johan at all of our events, servicing participants with water, cheering runners on, and making events memorable and enjoyable for all. Troy has started becoming a regular participant in many of the runs and even joined the LRC Nebraska team and has posted some impressive times throughout his running career. Johan is a usual suspect at all of our events and his presence is felt by everyone on race day. He always shows up with the biggest smile on his face and has one of the most positive attitudes you will ever encounter.Norland Pure is no stranger to supporting non-profits through their commitment to success. We all know the dedication and efforts they put in to making all of our events amazing, but their support goes beyond the running community. Two of the larger efforts they support annually are the Child Advocacy Center and the Lincoln Food Bank, through donations and free water services at their facilities. They do not stop there! They most recently participated in the People’s City Mission Starry Nights event, provided water services for the Alzheimer’s Walk, and have repeatedly supported the Cooper YMCA’s annual Silent Auction. No matter who or what the non-profit is, Norland Pure will bend over backwards to do what they can to support their cause.Norland Pure’s continued support and excellence in the running community has impacted tens of thousands of runners over the years and will continue to make a positive difference in our efforts. Norland Pure is a perfect example of what we stand for as an organization and what we strive to do: Run, Connect, Give Back. We are honored to present Norland Pure with the 2019 Distinguished Service Award.Presented by Eric HeylPhoto by Kayla Wolf
