2019 Distinguished Service Award: Barb and Phil Bohaty
Barb and Phil Bohaty have been longtime advocates for the running and biking community alike. They are usual suspects at many, if not all, of the Lincoln Track Club races throughout the year. Whether it is running the events, cheering on runners, or volunteering at the start/finish line, they are no strangers to our events. Not only has Barb been a part of many of our races, she has also been a part of the marathon class for several years now and helped countless runners overcome injuries and prepare themselves for the biggest race of the year. As a massage therapist for more than thirty years, she specializes in sports massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, and personal massage. Her enthusiasm and knowledge have brought uniqueness to the class unlike any other. Many of us are still running today thanks to Barb!Phil has always been the kind of person to jump in and help, no questions asked. Phil is most often seen helping to set up and tear down the start/finish line, and he doesn’t think twice about rolling up his sleeves and helping out where it is needed. Phil’s positive attitude and kind personality is always something to look forward to at races. If there is one thing Phil is always good for, it is a great story! These two are so deserving of the years of service and time they have provided to the Lincoln Track Club. We all want to thank you for your support, dedication, and commitment to helping all of us strive toward our mission of Run, Connect, Give Back. You truly embody everything that we stand for, and we look forward to working with your family for many years to come.Presented by Eric HeylPhoto by Kayla Wolf
