Tabitha Miles for Meals Run | March 28, 2020

With a highly successful inaugural Tabitha Miles for Meals Run under their belts last year, organizers say an updated course and fun swag will make 2020’s first Lincoln Track Club event of the season a must-run for racers.Jason McCown, co-director of the annual Miles for Meals Run, said last year’s event had over 750 racers and donated more than 1,300 meals to Tabitha Meals on Wheels.“We anticipate even more runners and hope to continue to increase the number of meals donated from the event,” McCown said. “Runners loved the course last year and gave us some great feedback that we’ve incorporated into optimizing this year’s course.”Last year’s giveaways were a hit with runners as well, including T-shirts. A commemorative pint glass will be provided to all 5k and 10-mile runners and a Raising Cane’s meal to all children running in the Kids’ Grand Prix.“It was so fun to see families show up last year to compete,” McCown shared. Miles for Meals is an event for the entire family, featuring a 10-mile, 5K, adult 1-mile and Kids’ Grand Prix.Parking is available in the Lincoln Children’s Zoo parking lot, with overflow parking available at Auld Pavilion, which can be accessed via South Street. Portable restrooms will be available at the start of the race course, as well as on the course at 31st and Calvert Streets.“We look forward to seeing the local running community show up to support a great organization,” McCown added.Register here!
