Havelock Charity Run Recap

Although June 3 was a hot and humid day, 750 people showed up to participate in the 39th Annual Havelock Charity Run! The 10k was won by Colin Morrissey in 32:33, followed closely by Nolan Zimmer, who finished with a time of 32:54. Nolan Border was our third-place finisher, completing the 6.2 miles in 33:27. On the women's side, Katie Wetzstein brought home the gold with a time of 37:17, Kayte Partch finished second in 39:18, followed by Liz Woodruff in 39:35.We saw some pretty impressive times in the 3K race too. Jay Welp and Peter Falcon battled for the top spot, with Jay earning the win in 8:33. Peter finished in 8:48, and our third-place finisher was Ross Lorber in 9:01. Your top three women were Maddie Ivy, Adriana Kammerer and Megan Paule. Their times were 9:51, 10:16, and 10:19, respectively.A distinguishing feature of the Havelock Charity Run is your ability to run on a team to raise money for your favorite charity. This is made possible by our generous corporate sponsor, Pinnacle Bank. The bank makes a $75 donation for every team that beats their team, and a $50 donation for those team that don't. This year's event raised $3,725 for local charities.
