The Lincoln Mile is a 1-mile run through downtown Lincoln near the Lincoln Running Company.  Entrants will be grouped by ages into heats, with the master's heat for men and women kicking off the event at 8 a.m.  The heats will conclude with the 10 & under race.  Exact group of ages will depend on number of entrants.  Check the schedule in your race packet.

Elite races for men and women will cap the morning of miles, with the women starting at 9:45 a.m. and the men at 10:00 a.m.  These events are open to runners of any age, although it is recommended men should have run a 4:30 mile and women a 5:30 mile.

Lincoln Running Company is grateful for the contributions of these race supporters:  The Cookie Company, SuperSaver, and Planet Earth.  The Lincoln Running Company opens at 7:00 a.m. race day to meet your running needs.

ENTRY FEE -- $10, $15 if postmarked after July 3, $20 race day.  Note: Runners can enter an age group heat or an elite race, but not both.  Mail or deliver your entry to the Lincoln Running Company, 1213 Q Street, Lincoln NE 68508.  Entry fee must accompany entry form and is not refundable.  Make checks payable to the Lincoln Track Club.  Each individual must register and pay an individual entry fee.

PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE -- All competitors receive a Lincoln Running Company t-shirt plus after-race snacks.   Stick around to watch other racers and shop at the Lincoln Running Company.  NOTE: This event is part of the Kid's Grand Prix.  Parents may accompany children 10 years of age and under.

PACKET PICKUP -- You may pick up your race packet at the Lincoln Running Company between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 10 and on race day between 7 & 8 am.  Individual entries will be accepted on race day between 6:45 and 7:30 a.m.  No entries after 7:30 am!

THE COURSE -- All races start and finish at 12th & Q by the Lincoln Running Company.

AWARDS -- AGE GROUPS: The first three males and females in each age group receive Lincoln Running Company gift certificates of $15, $10, and $5 respectively.  The age groups are 10 & under, 11-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.  Reminder: Competitors from more than one age group will be running in some heats.  Awards are based on finish within the age group, not the overall heat placing.

ELITE RACES: The winners of the Elite Women and Elite Men will receive a pair of shoes from Mizuno.  Runners placing second, third, and fourth in each race will receive Lincoln Running Company gift certificates of $30, $20, and $15 respectively.

MIZUNO DAYS -- This year, in conjunction with the Lincoln Mile, the Lincoln Running Company will feature Mizuno Days with special buys on Mizuno shoes.  Stop by for a weekend of fun, great buys and great give always.  Sign up Saturday for two pairs of Mizuno shoes to be given away Sunday during the race.
